As indicated in his November 13, 2019 email to the Kilmer community, Fabio Zuluaga, Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent, Region 2 stated that FCPS will start the search for a new principal immediately.  In the meantime, Mr. Fred Amico will continue to support our students and staff as the Interim Principal at Kilmer until a permanent principal is found.

An important step in this procedure is to inform parents and community members about the principal selection process.  Therefore, all Kilmer Middle School parents, staff, and community members are invited to attend an important meeting on Thursday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Kilmer Middle School. This meeting will go over the step-by-step process for selecting our new principal.  

Another critical component to the process is written input.  We are invited to offer individual, written input (preferably via email) regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics needed for Kilmer Middle School.  You might also address any challenges or issues that a new principal will need to address.  Input is confidential and will not be discussed at the meeting.  Email ideas to APMcGeehan@fcps.edu or mail your suggestions to Adam McGeehan in Human Resources, 8115 Gatehouse Road, Falls Church, VA   22042-1203 by Friday, December 13.
